Leaving Cert Maths Syllabus Simplified 2024

The Leaving Cert Maths Syllabus is something you may have heard your teachers mention teaching you maths topic, but you probably haven’t thought more about it since. To be fair, it’s designed for teachers, so that they know what they have to cover with you before the exam, but it can actually be very useful to students as well.

The Leaving Cert Maths syllabus gives you the definitive list of all the knowledge, concepts, and skills that you need to have under your belt for each of the three levels. Essentially, it’s like a checklist, which in and of itself, makes it easier to know what you need to know. 

The only trouble is, it’s kind of difficult to understand – a lot of very academic, mathsy jargon is used, so what we have for you today is a simplified Leaving Cert Maths Syllabus so that you’re fully up to date on all the craic!

Just to explain what we’ve done here, we’ve broken up the syllabus according to the five strands of Leaving Cert Maths, broken each of these strands down by general subtopic (they’re colour-coded too!), and then translated the Learning Outcomes into simple English.
